Dr. Galit Gertsenzon is an Internationally recognized pianist, piano teacher, collaborative artist who teaches piano with the highest academic standards. Currently dividing her very busy schedule between performance and teaching, she is on the faculty at Ball State University Honors College, Anderson University, and Ivy Tech Community College, where she teaches courses in music and piano. Dr. Galit Maintains a full privately owned piano studio where students range from ages 5 to 65.
Dr. Galit is an accomplished pianist and scholar with performance record ranging from the Middle East through Europe and North America. Dr. Galit is an active scholar and pedagogue with rich experience and 20 years of piano teaching record both in the higher education and the private sector.

Born in Israel, Dr. Galit Gertsenzon has fashioned an international career as a concert and collaborative pianist, instructor of Piano, Music History, Hebrew and Jewish music.
Galit holds Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music; She also holds Masters in Piano Performance (Graduated Magna Cum Laude) and Bachelors in Piano Performance and Musicology, both from the Buchman-Mehta School of Music, Tel Aviv University.
Galit has performed throughout the United State, Israel, Italy, Germany, and Czech Republic, and has collaborated with leading world-class musicians, including members of the Israel Philharmonic, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Nashville Symphony Orchestra, and numerous internationally acclaimed singers. She has performed in prestigious concert venues such as Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, the Bundestag, and other concert halls across Israel, Europe and the United States.
Currently on the faculty at Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana where she teached Music Appreciation and Student Success, she has also been on the faculty at Anderson University where she has taught class piano, and serves as collaborative pianist for students and faculty. In addition to her faculty appointments Galit has been teaching piano students from her home studio in Yorktown, IN.
An advocate for performance and research of music written during the Holocaust, she regularly presents papers and lecture-recitals on the music of the concentration camp Terezín. Her recent papers were presented at Ball State University, Anderson University, Florida State University, Indiana University, Ball State University and Yad Vashem institute in Jerusalem. Dr. Gertsenzon is the recipient of the 2018 C. Warren Vander Hill Award for Outstanding Honors Faculty.
